Stomahesive paste is a hydrocolloid-based protective skin barrier, filler or caulk designed to fill gaps between the ostomy appliance skin barrier (wafer) and stoma.
When using a two-piece systems: After applying your skin barrier, see if there is any skin visible between the skin barrier and your stoma. If you see any skin, consider using Stomahesive Paste to fill the gap. With a one-piece ostomy system, you can not see the seal you have created between your stoma and the skin barrier.
To use: Apply a small bead of Stomahesive Paste around the stoma opening before applying the skin barrier (wafer).
