To use a drainable stoma bag, attach the bag securely to the stoma, making sure the seal is tight to prevent leaks. When the bag is about one-third to half full, open the bottom outlet to drain the contents into the toilet, then clean and close the outlet securely. Always wash your hands before and after handling the bag.
