To use a Hollister catheter, first wash your hands thoroughly and prepare a clean area. Gently insert the lubricated catheter into the urethra until urine begins to flow, then allow the bladder to empty completely before slowly removing the catheter. Dispose of the catheter properly and wash your hands again.
