The wafer or barrier size determines how much skin is protected and how securely the barrier adheres. A larger wafer provides greater coverage and is helpful for larger stomas or for those who want additional skin protection, while smaller wafers can be less obtrusive and more comfortable for smaller stomas. Sizes like 4"x4" (seen in Convatec 401573) and 5"x5" (in Convatec 401577) are available. Convatec 125272 also offers a flexible 4"x4" option. With multiple sizes, you can select the barrier that offers the right balance of protection and discretion.
