There is no significant difference between an N95 mask and an N95 respirator; both terms refer to the same protective device that filters at least 95% of airborne particles. For example, the 3M 8511 Particulate Filter Respirator N95 Cup Face Mask is technically an N95 respirator but often called a mask.
