If you have a urostomy, urine is diverted from your bladder to a stoma in your abdomen, so you no longer pass urine through your urethra. Instead, urine exits through the stoma into a urostomy bag, such as the Marlen 77008 UltraLite Urostomy System with Flat, Skin Shield Skin Barrier. This system securely collects urine, so you generally cannot pee in the normal way after a urostomy.
